WATCH: Walker thrilled to join Entz at NDSU, Olson propels college commitment to WDAY’s 10 p.m. sports – InForum

FARGO – Lewis Walker and Matt Entz were no strangers to each other. The two coaches had previously been connected by former North Dakota State offensive line coach AJ Blazek.

Walker and Entz had spoken for over four years, with the potential to work together on the table.

In February, the right script finally played out when Entz hired Walker on its defensive team as cornerbacks coach, a spot that was left open when defensive ends coach Buddha Williams took a job at Colorado. State.

“The level and the confidence that I bring, the level of detail and obviously a fresh look,” Walker said of what he brings to the Bison.

Kindred senior Paul Olson decided to get back on the track just a few weeks ago. Three meetings in his career, he has already conquered the coaches of NDSU.

Olson announced his commitment to the Bison Thursday night. The eldest has broken five Kindred school records since his debut with the team.

After leading the Vikings boys’ basketball team to two straight games for the Class B state title, it’s a quick change of plans.

“Pretty crazy because I always thought I was going to go play some basketball somewhere,” Olson said. “Then all of a sudden it happened and I kind of went with it.”
