USC women’s golf takes the lead after 36 holes of NCAA Stanford Regional

Only the top four teams from each of the six 12-team NCAA Regional Championships will advance to the NCAA Championship Finals for Grayhawk GC in Scottsdale, Ariz., hosted by Arizona State, May 20-25. Navarrosa (70-68) was nearly as sharp with a round of five birdies and two bogeys that puts her in contention for her second top-10 this year and sixth top-16.

Second year Michaela Morard is tied for eighth at 1-under 141 (70-71) after a normal second round. She was 2-over through four holes but finished the last 14 holes at 2-under.

Senior Katherine Muzi is tied for 16th at 1 of 143 (73-70) after his best 16th round of par or better in freshman year Xin (Cindy) Ko is tied for 20th at 2 of 144 (71-73).

USC, which won regionals at Stanford in 2013 and 2016, will tee off at 9:06 a.m. in the final round Wednesday with Stanford and LSU.
