TikTok has seen many Eurovision songs gain popularity with people outside the Eurovision Song Contest.

Over the past year, Eurovision Song Contest 2019 winning song “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence has seen a resurgence and an appearance on the music charts around the world. The song’s success can be attributed to its appearance on TikTok from Harry Potter fans making videos using cut scenes from the Harry Potter films to show the good of Draco Malfoy’s character.

Last year the contest may have been canceled, but one of the favorites to release it from Eurovision 2020, Daði og Gagnamagnið, went viral with his song “Think About Things”. It has garnered tens of thousands of views and even appeared in the official UK Singles Rankings, peaking at 34th place.

After this year’s competition, Eurovision Song Contest winners Måneskin saw a huge increase in popularity.
