‘Seinfeld’ fan creates viral video of the show’s many film references

A Seinfeld megafan produced a video montage of the movie parodies and tributes for the series, and it went viral.

Editing of the New York-based sitcom, which was co-created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, begins with the show’s tribute to JFK, a film that included Seinfeldrecurring actor Wayne Knight. The full list of over 30 parodied films includes The Godfather trilogy, Citizen Kane, Taxi driver and ends with Casablanca. “We’ll always have pancakes,” Jerry says as a parody of the famous “we’ll always have Paris” line in the classic movie.

The fan video arrives before the entire collection of Seinfeld debuts on Netflix in October. It has never been available on a single service worldwide until now.

In 2020, David revealed his all-time favorite episode of the hit sitcom. Speaking at a virtual fundraiser for the Texas Democratic Party, David spoke about doing the season four episode The competition, who follows the main characters as they host a contest to see who can last the longest without masturbating.
