GSIS offers COVID-19 emergency loans

MANILA, Philippines – Starting Monday, the state-run pension fund, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), will accept new applications for its COVID-19 emergency loan program.

Loan applications from active members and retirees will be accepted until June 21, GSIS said in a notice.

Those who have already benefited from the COVID-19 emergency loan are no longer qualified. GSIS said qualified borrowers with existing emergency loans could borrow up to 40,000 pesos.
