Editorial: Gaffezilla vs. Omicron – The Gila Herald

Mike Bibb Chronicle

President Joe Biden has always struggled to speak the truth. His “false claims” and blunders are legendary and well documented.

However, being a 79-year-old professional politician did not dull his memory. He continues to repeat the swear words and false claims of the past with the same enthusiasm as decades ago.

As well as having fictitious his active involvement in the civil rights movement of the 1960s / 70s – he previously admitted he was a young pool lifeguard in a local black neighborhood, not walking with Martin Luther King – he has recently informed a black class of college graduates that he, in fact, participated in the Civil Rights Crusades of that time. Supposedly, he attended black churches and could even sing the black national anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

That’s when he didn’t mingle with a local character named “Corn Pop”.

Total manufacturing.

Nothing new about it. He plagiarized academic reports while studying law, which contributed to his ranking in the lower classes. Boasted of having several diplomas and obtained academic awards. Challenge a reporter in an IQ contest. Stories made up of various escapades when he was in the Senate.

None of these accounts were 100% factual. Probably closer to 40%. Joe would graft a script to his particular situation, embellish it with spin, and then present it as an actual event in his life.

This has been the modus operandi of its entire existence. I’m sure Joe has had some original thought for the last 50 or 60 years, it’s just not well documented like his other fantasies.

Modern films, videos and the Internet have exposed its distortions. They are easily assessable for anyone to review. He doesn’t seem to care whether the authenticity of his statements is verified or not. He keeps putting them out there. I guess as long as he believes them, it doesn’t matter if someone else believes them.

His latest adventure – in addition to insisting on the closure of our southern border – is leading the charge against the invasion of the coronavirus. “I am going to stop the virus,” he promised in a 2020 campaign speech but failed to enlighten us on how he was going to do it.

He and Dr Anthony Fauci have teamed up to offer the same monotonous solutions to a problem that seems to elude them continually. So far, despite their assurances, the pesky COVID germ still foils them.

Of course, Joe, with Tony in his corner, does his best drug rope imitation while COVID scores points. It’s an interesting contest if only Joe had some sort of fight plan, and Coach Tony actually knew what he was doing.

To this day, another “winter of sickness and death” is about all Joe has to offer, looking eerily familiar to his prognosis from last winter. Needless to say, we can expect the usual school and business closures, mask and vaccine warrants, a basket full of local, state, and national prescriptions, and promises to get back to normal once a miracle cure will be discovered. Whenever it is.

When was the last time you heard a President of the United States tell us that we could die of a virus if we did not live up to government mandates?

It’s the constant sadness, unhappiness, hysteria, paranoia, negativity, fear and cowardice, all in Joe’s head. There is never any mention of the weakening of pandemics over time. If they had not done so, humanity would have become extinct long before governments were established.

The COVID virus appears to be following tradition, forcibly diminishing with each subsequent mutation.

However, President Joe continues to issue terrible warnings. Except that vaccines have been given to around 65% of the population, but infections and deaths continue to increase, especially among people with existing health problems.

Little talk about other remedies available and a person’s natural immunity, especially after recovering from a bout of COVID. It’s a 24-hour vaccine indoctrination – as if a shot in the arm of Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and Moderna vaccinations were the only viable alternatives.

Something is wrong.

Perhaps more importantly, why, like other publicly promoted drugs, don’t the government or pharmaceutical manufacturers provide warnings about possible side effects of vaccines? We’re no doubt supposed to line up and accept promises of two or three swings in the arm – maybe more – that will end up protecting us from COVID without wondering what will happen if it doesn’t work or causes future problems. health ?

Their response ? Crickets.

Meanwhile, little to no mention of the increase in deaths from cancer, heart failure, diabetes illnesses, suicides, drug overdoses, mental disorders and a host of other ailments plaguing the community. company. Like a baseball score, all we get are daily reports of runs, hits, errors, and announcements left based on COVID.

Now the latest threat to society is the so-called mutant Omicron, reminiscent of an old Japanese monster movie – Godzilla vs. Omicron. President Joe, of course, takes on the role of Godzilla as Omicron continues to evolve in an endless series of viral variations, infecting both the vaccinated and the unvaccinated.

Joe can never quite knock out the offspring of COVID, but he keeps trying. Unfortunately, just as the virus is set up for the knockout blow, the devious little creature transforms into something else and slips away. Trainer Tony is equally puzzled but still has an absurd or contradictory explanation.

It is infuriating. Even frustrating when Joe and Tony keep repeating their same failed mistakes in the hopes that they will eventually get some sort of positive outcome.

What happened to their initial suggestion – “Follow the science”? It’s easy to understand. An endless virus can be a tantalizing motive to promote authoritarian influences on a society already weakened by government mandates and restrictions.

Including, in many places, being forced to get “pulled” if you want to continue working to feed yourself and your family.
